NAVAL AIR STATION FALLON, NV., (November 13, 2013) – ATAC (Airborne Tactical Advantage Company), the U.S. leader in outsourced tactical airborne services for 16 years, recently completed the final DOD certification enabling the carriage of AIM-9 captive air training missiles(CATM). Another first for ATAC and the industry of outsourced military training, the ability to fly with AIM-9 CATMs allows ATAC to better simulate adversary aircraft in the dynamic air-to-air arena. "Previously, there was no way for us to confirm friendly fighter execution of proper infra-red missile defense (IRMD) as they approached the merge. With this capability ATAC has generated a more realistic IR threat simulation, with enhanced shot validation, which can better serve the DOD in support of it's training objectives," says Scott "Brillo" Stacy, Chief Operating Officer at ATAC. The ability to unilaterally offer increased capability demonstrates ATAC's commitment to warfighter readiness, and focus on ATAC's vision as "…the recognized industry leader for tactical aviation training to US and allied militaries worldwide, delivering cost-effective, and continually advancing capabilities".
